The Duke Startup Challenge, founded in 1999, is designed to help Duke's entrepreneurship community flourish, with a year long entrepreneurship competition followed by an accelerator program.

Mitchel Gorecki - Chief Executive Officer His prior role was a data scientist writing high frequency pricing algorithms for trading online advertising. The firm grew to 450 people, went public, and Mitchel went on to get his MBA from Duke. Mitchel earned his BSE degree from Duke University, majoring in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Economics with a concentration in Finance.
