Program for Entrepreneurs: New Ventures 3

LivingLab currently participates in Fuqua's Program for Entrepreneurs. The goal of this new program is to assist aspiring entrepreneurs in launching new businesses. It will leverage Fuqua’s academic research, courses and broad community of practitioners to work with entrepreneurs to define, plan, establish and finance new ventures.

 

 

Duke Start-up Challenge

The Duke Startup Challenge, founded in 1999, is designed to help Duke's entrepreneurship community flourish, with a year long entrepreneurship competition followed by an accelerator program.

 

 

 
  Mitchel Gorecki   Graduated from Duke in 2013 majoring in biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, and economics with a concentration in finance. His prior role was to design high frequency pricing algorithms for trading online advertising. He was one of the first big data scientists at the firm, which grew from 30 to 450 people and became a publicly traded company.

  Gerald Gallagher   Graduated from Moore School of Business, received his JD at USC’s school of law and is studying Entrepreneurial law at Duke’s law school. Before joining LivingLAB, he was at the South Carolina Research Authority, and has previously worked in Pitchbook Data and Tolmin & Company.

  Patrick Wickham   Graduated from Duke in 2017 majoring in computer science and psychology. He has experience working at Cisco Systems, Southern Networks, Deja Mi and Duke OIT, where he managed a 28 person technical team.

  Caitlin Cerra   A current MBA Candidate at Duke's Fuqua School of Business, she has experiences in private equity (Inigo Partners) and previously worked in the medical field in Germany. Caitlin has also co-founded a social media tech start up before joining LivingLab.
